Like any health insurance, pet insurance is there should the unthinkable happen. While you likely expect regular checkups and appointments once or twice a year, pet insurance is for unexpected illnesses and accidents and other unplanned for, and likely costly care.
Unfortunately, this does not include any current known medical conditions your pet may be afflicted with, known as pre-existing conditions. Instead, this is for when said condition is discovered or diagnosed.
