Preventative Care Medicine
Annual Examinations
Annual exams allow us to assess your pet’s overall health, establish baseline measurements, and identify early signs of disease before they become serious. Cats are the masters of disguise and even if your pet seems perfectly healthy, an annual wellness exam is one of the most important investments you can make in their long-term well-being.
Semiannual Examinations
A cat’s body will age faster than we do. In fact, one year in a cat’s life can equal several human years. By seeing your pet every six months, we can track subtle changes over time and intervene before small concerns become serious problems.
During these examinations, we will discuss and address your concerns including but not limited to:
-
Early Detection of Illness – Many conditions develop silently, including heart disease, kidney disease, diabetes, and thyroid disorders.
-
Preventive Care Updates – Vaccinations, parasite prevention, and screening tests are tailored to your pet’s lifestyle and risk factors.
-
Weight & Nutrition Monitoring – Obesity is one of the most common preventable health risks in pets. We will come up with a weight loss plan together.
-
Dental Health Evaluation – Cats love to have hidden dental diseases and can progress without any obvious symptoms.
-
Behavior & Lifestyle Guidance – We will address changes in behavior, mobility, appetite, and activity level.
By visiting your cat in your home, it allows us to get a glimpse of the full picture and will lead to better diagnosis and treatment plans as well as a better bond between cat and veterinarian.
Veterinary Counseling Services:
Caring for a pet comes with important decisions. Whether you’re managing a chronic illness, navigating a new diagnosis, addressing behavioral concerns, or facing end-of-life choices, you don’t have to do it alone. Veterinary counseling is a dedicated consultation focused on discussion, education, and planning. Unlike a traditional exam-centered visit, these appointments prioritize time for conversation, questions, and emotional support.
-
Chronic Disease Management-Conditions related to heart, kidney, and liver disease, diabetes, cancer, and conditions related to arthritis, and many more.
-
Behavioral Concerns-It is a great asset to be able to see your pet in their own environment.
-
Quality of Life and Second Opinions- If you’re feeling uncertain about your pet’s health, struggling with quality-of-life concerns, or seeking reassurance about treatment options, we are here to help.
-
Diabetic Care- Administering insulin and monitoring blood sugar can feel intimidating at first. We provide hands-on instruction and step-by-step guidance, so you feel comfortable with:
-
Proper insulin handling and injection technique
-
Recognizing signs of low or high blood sugar
-
Establishing feeding schedules
-
Monitoring appetite, energy, and hydration
-
Keeping detailed glucose logs
Sick Visit:
If your pet is not acting like themselves, trust your instincts. Early evaluation often leads to simpler treatment and faster recovery. Our mobile service can take samples such as blood, urine, fecal, ear, and skin and provide necessary treatment.
While many illnesses can be managed through mobile care, certain situations require immediate emergency hospital attention. We are well trained to triage emergencies and will guide you to the nearest emergency facility without delay when necessary.
End of Life Care
Saying goodbye to a beloved companion is one of the most difficult moments a family can face, and Exclusively Cats wants to be there to support you.
Our in-home euthanasia service provides a peaceful, private, and compassionate setting where your pet can pass surrounded by love and familiarity. We are honored to support families during this deeply personal time with dignity, empathy, and respect.
